UNIFEM: A Legacy of Gender Equality
The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) was a United Nations fund and programme working to achieve gender equality worldwide. It was established in 1976 and operated for over three decades before being merged into UN Women in 2010. Therefore, UNIFEM no longer exists as a separate entity.
