Products and Services
Solar Solutions Canada Inc. offers a diverse portfolio of products and complete system solutions, organized to serve various client needs from basic components to fully integrated energy infrastructure.
Energy System Solutions (SolariQ Design)
The company's primary service is the design and supply of complete, custom-engineered renewable energy systems, which are categorized by application:
Grid-Tie Systems: These systems connect to the main utility grid, allowing a customer's solar generation to offset their energy demand load, effectively turning back the utility meter.
Grid-Tie with Back-up Systems: An advanced solution that incorporates battery storage to support essential loads during utility grid power outages, providing energy resilience and continuous operation.
Off-Grid Energy Systems: Designed to provide AC power for remote homes, cottages, or industrial sites, these systems are fully self-sufficient and capable of powering efficient lighting, refrigeration, and various appliances without reliance on the utility grid.
Commercial Systems: SSCI works with architects and builders to design and supply large-scale renewable energy systems tailored for commercial facilities.
Industrial Systems: These systems power specialized and remote industrial applications, including but not limited to, traffic signals, telecommunications equipment, and railroad signaling.
Micro-Grid and Solar-Farm Systems: The company provides consulting and supply for larger infrastructure projects that require localized energy generation and distribution.
Architectural and Sustainable Building Applications
SSCI partners with architects and construction teams to integrate photovoltaic features directly into a building's design and structure. These "Architecturally Integrated Photovoltaics" include visually appealing and energy-generating elements such as:
Photovoltaic Curtain Walls
Solar Skylights
Energy-generating Awnings
This service emphasizes seamless integration, net metering, energy efficiency, and optimal sun orientation for new and sustainable building projects.
Core Product Offerings and Components
The company manufactures and distributes a comprehensive line of renewable energy and energy conservation devices, including a wide array of system components available through its retail channel:
Inverter Systems: A selection of pre-wired systems for various applications, including All Pre-wired Systems, Grid Tie + Battery Backup, Hybrid, and Off-Grid configurations.
Batteries: A crucial component for off-grid and backup systems, including Lithium ion and Tubular Gel technologies.
Water Solutions: Products for water management, specifically Water Pumps.
Balance of System (BOS) Components: Items like Combiners, which are essential for connecting solar panels to the rest of the electrical system.
Conservation Devices: The company also supplies niche sustainable products like Composters (Electric, Non-electric), Composting Toilets (Waterless), and associated supplies and parts, aligning with its conservation mandate.
SSCI's services also extend to providing resources and support, including specific service protocols for Off-Grid, Grid-Tie with Back-Up, Grid-Tie, and Micro-Grid systems.
