Technology Overview
Security technology has never moved faster. AI agents now write code, query data and act on their own, and attackers use the same tools. This ebook tracks the companies working to keep pace. Its core is cybersecurity: endpoint and network protection, cloud and Kubernetes security, email defense, identity and privileged access, data protection and backup, exposure management, and managed detection and response. Around that core sit adjacent fields that matter just as much. These include fraud prevention and behavioral biometrics, digital identity verification, post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution, blockchain security, and physical security ranging from access control and video surveillance to counter-drone systems.
The range of players is wide. You will find global platform vendors, fast-growing startups, MSP-focused providers and governance and compliance software firms. You will also find defense primes and agencies, applied research institutes, standards bodies and policy think tanks. Together they show where budgets, regulation and innovation are heading, from agentic AI governance to quantum-ready encryption.
