Voice, Speech, Telephony

Market snapshot • October 2, 2026

Technology Overview

Voice is becoming the interface for AI. Machines now talk back in real time, and that changes how businesses answer calls, authenticate customers and serve users. This ebook maps the companies building that shift, from speech recognition and synthesis to the networks that carry every call.

The range is broad. Speech AI specialists build speech-to-text, text-to-speech and voice cloning models. Cloud communications and CPaaS providers embed calling, messaging and IVR into applications. Contact center and conversational AI platforms deploy agentic voice bots and agent-assist tools. Voice security firms detect fraud and deepfakes. Healthcare players turn dictation and vocal biomarkers into clinical tools, and automotive suppliers put assistants in the car. Telecom carriers, VoIP equipment makers, standards bodies and research labs supply the infrastructure and the science underneath. Applications span customer service, accessibility, education, media dubbing, sales intelligence and in-car assistants. The common thread is fast, accurate speech AI combined with reliable, programmable telephony.
