Technology Overview
Software is no longer built only by developers. No-code and low-code platforms let marketers, analysts, founders and operations teams assemble apps, websites and automated workflows through visual builders, templates and pre-built connectors. Now AI agents are joining in. Prompts, conversational builders and MCP connections turn plain-English requests into working software, and enterprises are moving quickly to govern it.
This ebook tracks that shift across the full landscape. Workflow automation tools link thousands of cloud apps. Website and e-commerce builders power online stores and publications. Enterprise low-code platforms run banking, insurance and government processes, while RPA vendors deploy software bots at scale. Data integration and spreadsheet-style analytics tools put warehouse data in the hands of business users. Specialist players apply the same visual approach to mobile apps, game creation, membership sites, security operations and industrial robot programming. Around them sit the observability, payments and infrastructure companies that this new generation of software depends on.
